Covid19: latest update on WildCookham activities

29 April

During the lockdown WildCookham will not be undertaking any group activities.  We will be keeping touch with our supporters via our Facebook page and email updates and we shall be holding some online events.

Where possible we shall be inviting people to continue to help with our surveys where they can be undertaken either in your own gardens or as part of regular exercise.  We encourage everyone with a garden to make the most of the lockdown and enter our Wild About Gardens Awards and our LookWild! Video competition creates a great opportunity for budding filmmakers – of all ages.

This period of isolation and a quieter and less polluted environment is also helping us to appreciate the richness of the natural world.  We should make the most of it and also use it as a time to reflect on what we want our world to be like as we come out of the current crisis.  Let’s share our photos and thoughts about the natural world we can find close to home: our Facebook page is ready and waiting.  And please continue to keep an eye on our website as we plan to provide further ideas addressing your wildlife and conservation interests.

With every good wish at this very difficult time from the team at WildCookham.
