Build a Bird Box

Yippee! Another chance to come along and build a bird box! This is always a popular event and is a great thing for kids to do at the end of the Christmas holiday period. It's suitable for all ages from 2 to 102! See this film from last year's event:

Every home needs a bird box and here's an opportunity to make a perfect bird house guided by experts! Box kits together with tools are provided for £10 each (to be confirmed). Boxes suitable for robins or blue tits can be made in this workshop. Bob Keene and others from the Bisham bird box group will help you make them and also advise on the best place to site them.

If you're interested in getting other wildlife homes for your garden, Bob will be able to guide you, the Bisham bird box group make, sell and install all sorts of homes for swifts, owls, bats and hedgehogs to name a few.

With the Big Garden Birdwatch coming up at the end of January, what better way to prepare than to create your own bird house!
