Partnerships

Making the impact that’s essential if we are to restore our natural world to a sustainable balance calls for partnership. And as the focus shifts to larger-scale restoration projects that means partnerships across our community, working with landowners, businesses, councils, fundraisers, other environmental bodies and NGOs as well as local residents.

WildCookham has close links with the other ‘Wild’ groups in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and with the Borough itself, contributing to local plans and policies and providing practical help in managing the Council’s own land.  This also applies to our work with the local parish council.  We also work with the local wildlife trust – the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust and draw on their expertise – and participate in other partnerships bringing together interested parties in groups such as the South Chilterns Catchment Partnership and similar groups.

Local companies also have an important part to play and we work with them, providing opportunities for the corporate volunteering opportunities.  And we’d love to hear from more companies interested in helping in this way.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss opportunities for partnership and volunteering.

Funding opportunities

As WildCookham takes on bigger projects there are opportunities for companies and charitable trusts to support these.  Many of our projects have modest funding needs: some are on a larger scale.  Please contact us if you would like to discuss how we might work together to help in our work and provide your organisation with projects it can support.

Past funders of our projects have included Kings Hall Trust,  Louis Baylis Trust, Naturesave Trust, Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Shanly Foundation, South East Water, Thames Water.
