Battlemead - an opportunity for people and nature
Battlemead is a 110-acre area of land between Maidenhead and Cookham. Bought by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead in 2018, it is currently the subject of debate about its future. WildCookham is pushing hard for its potential for the protection and enhancement of wildlife. These pages offer background to the site, its history and our hopes for its future.
